The founders of L.E.A.P. Arizona have experienced first hand the physical, emotional and financial hardships of Lyme disease and
co-infections. The birth of L.E.A.P. Arizona grew from a desire to help
children and adults suffering with these debilitating infections.
L.E.A.P. Arizona provides financial assistance to patients suffering from Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections. We receive calls from patients weekly who need help for either their children or themselves, and sometimes the entire family is in desperate need. We need a large fund to be able to provide this much-needed assistance.
There is very little financial assistance available for children and adults suffering with Lyme disease. Lyme Education Awareness Program depends mainly upon individual donations to raise funds for financial assistance to help patients in Arizona and across the United States.
Our program consists of a financial
assistance application which is confidentially reviewed and verified during the
approval process. When patients are approved for assistance, all funds
disbursed on their behalf are sent directly to their providers/creditors after
insurance payments and balance verification. We
make sure that grants and donors' contributions are used appropriately.

Children who suffer from Lyme
disease have special needs. Oftentimes children have difficulty expressing
how they feel. In addition, Lyme disease can cause a wide array of
behavioral problems. Parents and physicians can be sensitive to the
sometimes vague and varied symptoms described by children and demonstrated in
their behavior and habits.
