Presenters and Hearing Transcripts
(in order of presentation at the Hearing)

It was the responsibility of the Infectious Diseases Society of America to transcribe the Hearing presentations for the record.  The result of IDSA's first attempt to transcribe the presentations contained numerous errors and omissions.

For instance, in Tina Garcia's presentation, she said, "...therapies that bring them close to death's door."  The IDSA transcribed her statement as "...therapies that bring them close to death's store."  This transcription, along with the 2006 IDSA Practice Guidelines for Lyme Disease, are examples of the work product the IDSA offers its members and the public.

The Connecticut Attorney General's office voluntarily went through about half of the transcripts to correct transcription errors.  Unfortunately, resources did not allow the AG's office to complete the project, and to date, the IDSA has failed to fulfill its responsibility in carrying forth the requirements of the legal Agreement signed with the Attorney General, by not providing the public with accurate transcripts of the Lyme Disease Review Panel Hearing,

Therefore, please excuse the transcripts provided by the IDSA and fill in the blanks where the IDSA has written "indiscernible."  I guess this is IDSA's version of a Lyme Disease Mad Libs game.
