How To Remove a Tick

1. Use
tweezers to grasp the body of the tick as close
to the point of attachment as possible.
2.
Remove the tick slowly by pulling it out without
turning it. Try not to
break it apart during the removal.
3.
After removing the tick, wash the area well with soap
and water. Apply antiseptic to the area of attachment.
4. Do
not use matches, needles or pins to remove the
tick. Do not use gasoline, lighter fluid, oil or other
fluids. Using these methods can cause the tick to
regurgitate infection into
your body.
